- 1987 -1991: Attended workshops with one of North America's leading watercolorists, Zoltan Szabo.
- 1958-1962: Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Mount Allison University, Sackville, N.B.
- 1961: Banff Summer School of Fine Arts, Banff, Alberta.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 2003: One of nine artists chosen by the Royal Canadian Mint to submit a concept drawing in consideration of updating the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on Canadian coinage.
- 2001: Teacher, Pastels, Ottawa School of Art Gave Workshop in Pastel Portraiture
- 1998: Commissioned by the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, working in collaboration with Eleanor Duncanson.
- 1997 : Commissioned by Environment Canada for five paintings, working in collaboration with Eleanor Duncanson.
- 1991: Commissioned by the Department of National Defence for twenty paintings on "Family Life in the Military", working in collaboration with another military artist, Mary Leach.
- Commissioned by the Canadian Figure Skating Association to do a series of limited editions.
- 1984: Commissioned to design the Admirals' Medal. Commissioned by The Nova Scotia Tattoo to produce work for the Tattoo program.
- 1983: Commissioned by The Nova Scotia Tattoo for storyboard work. One of my watercolours featured in the Tattoo program.
- 1980 - 84: Worked on portraits of visual artists (e.g. Toni Onley, Tom Forrestall, Robert McInnis, Carol Fraser, Alexandra McCurdy, Ruth Wainwright, Fenwick Lansdowne, and more).
- Teacher, watercolour and oil painting, Continuing Education, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Gave watercolour workshops.
